The Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering, CAS（IDSSE）Department of Deep-sea Imaging Technology(Imaging Dept.) was established under the support of the key project of the national key research and development program "Deep-sea Key Technology and Equipment", the pilot project of CAS, the knowledge innovation project of CAS, and the major science and technology program of Hainan Province. The Imaging Dept is dedicated to the research and development of key technologies and equipment for deep-sea video capture, transmission, processing, and application, promoting the development of deep-sea optics and imaging, deep-sea lighting, deep-sea communication technology, as well as related disciplines such as deep-sea machinery, electronics, image processing, and VR technology.
