With a mission to support deep-sea scientific innovation and serve marine equipment development, the Laboratory focuses on the following research and service areas:

• Deep-sea Environment Simulation and Performance Testing. Construction of high-pressure and low-temperature experimental platforms to simulate extreme deep-sea conditions for sealing and structural reliability verification.
• Integration and Commissioning of Marine Instruments and Equipment. Providing assembly, adjustment, and system-level integration for submersibles, landers, and deep-sea observation stations.
• Manufacturing and Structural Optimization of Deep-sea Equipment. Conducting precision machining and manufacturing of pressure-resistant structures, composite components, and customized non-standard parts.
• Standardization and Test Technology Research. Promoting standardization and normalization in hydrostatic testing and performance verification of marine instruments.
•  Open Access and Technical Services. Offering deep-sea equipment testing, validation, and trial manufacturing services to research organizations and enterprises.
