Deep-sea Landing Vehicle
Deep-sea landing vehicle is a novel crawler-type investigation platform with autonomous working ability, funding by The Major Scientific and Technological Projects of Hainan province. Deep-sea landing vehicle has a maximum working depth of 4,500 meters, with a weight of 1.8 tons, carrying deep-sea sensors such as a current meter, 4K camera, CTD and multi-parameter water quality meter. It can conduct continuous sampling for 10 kilometers or 6 months. During sampling, data can be regularly transmitted back to the shore-based terminal via self-elevating beacons for remote monitoring. With special payloads, it can carry out sampling operations for seafloor sediments and microbiota. Deep-sea landing vehicle is a mobile, multi-functional scientific deep-sea platform with a wide range of motion ability, which can provide support for deep-sea scientific investigations.
