HOV Fendouzhe
Fendouzhe, is a full-ocean-depth submersible which was supported by National Key Research and Development Program of China during “13th Five-year Plan” period (2016-2020). During its sea trail, Fendouzhe reached a depth of 10,909 meters at the bottom of the Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench in November, 2020, and set a new depth record of domestic manned submersibles in China. It is delivered to the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences and came into service in March 2021.
